Elementary school principals are looking forward to welcoming their newest students and want to be sure Nashua residents, who have children turning five years of age by September 30, 2020, are aware of the two major steps to the kindergarten registration process:
- Registration Packet Download or Pick-up at your neighborhood elementary school
- Completed Registration Packet with Required Documentation Drop-off
What does my child need to know to start kindergarten? For general information about how ready your child may be to start kindergarten, please click here for a packet prepared by the NH Department of Education, in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services.
Registration Packet Pick-Up
Starting no later than early January 2020, parents can download registration forms linked above. As an alternative, parents may pick up registration forms at their neighborhood elementary school between 10:00 am to 2:00 pm each school day, Monday through Friday.
Completed Registration Packet Drop-Off
Starting Thursday, January 23, 2020, parents may drop off completed registration packets in the main office of the neighborhood elementary school. (Snow date: Monday, January 27, 2020)

- Completed Registration Packet Forms
- Immunization Record
- Original or Certified Birth Certificate, Passport, or other legal document which includes students name and date of birth
- Age requirement: child must be five (5) years old by September 30
- Proof of Residency
current lease agreement and/or mortgage agreement
Parents residing with another resident/host and enrolling their children in the Nashua School District will need to complete a host residency form. This form must be notarized. The host, with whom the parent and children are living, must confirm residency by presenting two utility bills or a copy of a lease or purchase of the home in Nashua, New Hampshire. In addition, both a parent of the student(s) and resident host must bring with them photo identification.
- Copy of most recent, medical exam within the enrollment year
- Legal paperwork, if applicable
The host must be present at the time of registration and provide a notarized host residency form and the documents listed above.
