All meals meet and often exceed the nutrition requirements set by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service to support children’s healthy growth and healthy well-being.
In fact, Birch Hill Elementary School, Dr. Crisp Elementary School, and Ledge Street Elementary School were awarded the USDA HealthierUS School Challenge Award at the Silver level. They join nearly 6,500 HUSSC-certified schools from 49 states, and stand as the highest-recognized three schools in New Hampshire, achieving the rigorous Silver level. All three schools were cited for promoting nutrition and physical activity at home and at school.
