Is there a deadline to register?

The Pre-Registration online tool will be open for families and caregivers from August through May. While there is no deadline to register, we recommend completing the Pre-Registration as soon as possible, as space is limited.

    Registration Policy for Target Populations

Target Populations of 21st Century Extended Day include students who are identified by their school as being an English Language Learner (ELL), students who are referred by transitional housing programs or by homeless shelters, students who are identified within the Nashua School District as experiencing homelessness and or in transitional housing, and students who need additional support in social skills or in academic success after school. Referrals to our program for these students take priority and the program will provide access to 21st Century programming, given all written permissions and registration forms have been completed.

Additionally, as part of the integration into 21st Century Extended Day, Site Coordinators will communicate with the students’ families and with school faculty and staff to review progress in both the program and during the school day.

    21st Century Attendance Policy

21st Century students must follow the schedule as outlined in their registration. To request a change in your schedule, you must email your Site Coordinator for approval. Changes in the days of the week or number of days per week can have a significant impact on the program. It is important we have adequate staffing and materials for all of our students.

Students should not attend the program if they are absent from school that same day. Site Coordinators will review school day attendance records daily to ensure that students do not attend the program if they did not attend school.

Students who are suspended or removed from school due to behavior shall be removed from 21st Century pending a meeting with school support staff, family/guardians, and the 21st Century Site Coordinator. In the event that a student is brought back into the program after being removed, a written plan shall be agreed upon and implemented to ensure successful integration back into the program.

21st Century families and caregivers are responsible for communicating with their 21st Century Site Coordinator regarding student absences from the program. If there are multiple absences, or failure to communicate with their 21st Century Site Coordinator, your child may be removed from the program to allow a student from the waitlist to attend.
