Celebrating National School Breakfast Week in Nashua!

Last week Dr. Crisp Elementary School and Nashua High School South, in Nashua, NH celebrated National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) by highlighting the importance of starting the day with a healthy meal. Nashua School District Food Service staff engaged their students in sampling new, lower-sugar, high-protein breakfast options such as breakfast bowls and calzones that follow the new USDA dietary regulations for added sugar.

“Student feedback is one of the most important tools we have,” said Mary Benoit who has worked in school food service programs for 16 years. “When students share what they enjoy, it helps us build menus that support their focus, wellness, and overall school experience.”
