Mr. Burns began his career with the Nashua School District in 2001, teaching science at the former Elm Street Junior High School, now middle school. In the fall of 2003, Mr. Burns taught science at Nashua High School South and then transferred to teach science at Nashua High School North in 2007. In the fall of 2010, Mr. Burns became the science department head teacher, leading the department in its work in redesigning curriculum and assessment. More recently, Mr. Burns has worked as a co-chair for the High School Competency and Grading Committee.
Mr. Burns served as an assistant track and field coach from 2001 through 2005 prior to becoming the North Boys Varsity Track and Field Team coach from 2006 to 2015, helping to lead the team to three track and field state championships and one indoor state championship.
Mr. Burns earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Boston University in 2000, and his Master of Education in Secondary Education from Rivier University in 2007. In 2013, he earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Principal Leadership from New England College, Henniker, New Hampshire.

Jason Lonergan
Jason started his career in education in 2003 at Elm Street Middle in Nashua. He spent four years at Elm Street serving in the role as a special educator and teacher of at-risk 8th grade students in the PLUS Program. In 2007, Jason became a Headmaster and then the following year became an Assistant Principal at Nashua High School South. He served as an Assistant Principal at South for four years before moving to Pennichuck Middle School. Jason served as the Assistant Principal at Pennichuck from 2012-2016. Over the last two years, Jason has been the Assistant Principal at Laconia High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and Master’s Degree in Educational Studies from Rivier University. Jason looks forward to supporting students and staff at Nashua High School North.

Peter Schmidt
Mr. Schmidt began his career in 2003 at Pinkerton Academy where he taught Spanish for 16 years. During his time at Pinkerton, he served as an assistant varsity swimming coach and Global Studies Coordinator. In 2015, Mr. Schmidt was awarded the Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Fellowship through the U.S. Dept. of State. As a TGC Fellow, he completed a yearlong professional study in Global Education, culminating in an educational field study in Brazil. After his tenure at Pinkerton, he served as Assistant Principal at Franklin High School. Mr. Schmidt graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a minor in Spanish in 2002 from Saint Anselm College and went on to earn his Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Rivier University in 2014.

Heidi Paris
I began my teaching career in 2005 at Catherine McAuley High School in Portland, Maine, where I served as a social studies teacher. I moved to New Hampshire in the fall of 2007 and taught social studies at Campbell High School, in Litchfield until coming to Nashua North. I became the Social Studies Curriculum Facilitator in 2009 and served in that role for ten years. While at Campbell, I also served as the Summer School Director and the NEASC Co-Chair.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with minors in secondary education and political science in from Saint Joseph's College of Maine in 2005 and my Masters of Education in School Leadership from Saint Joseph's College of Maine in 2012.

Michael Whitehead
Michael Whitehead comes to the Nashua School District after 12 years as an educator and administrator in Lawrence, Massachusetts. In Lawrence, Michael began at the middle school level teaching history from 2006 to 2012. From there he transferred to Lawrence High School to teach English as a Second Language (ESL). After 10 years of lead teaching, Michael would serve in a dual role position as Dean of ESL and Dean of Students. Michael is proud to have been a part of the team of educators that brought a level 5 under-performing school to a level 1 exemplary school. Michael hopes his experiences and passion for education will help support students, faculty and the community of Nashua.
