  • Mr. Burns began his career with the Nashua School District in 2001, teaching science at the former Elm Street Junior High School, now middle school. In the fall of 2003, Mr. Burns taught science at Nashua High School South and then transferred to teach science at Nashua High School North in 2007. In the fall of 2010, Mr. Burns became the science department head teacher, leading the department in its work in redesigning curriculum and assessment. More recently, Mr. Burns has worked as a co-chair for the High School Competency and Grading Committee.


    Mr. Burns served as an assistant track and field coach from 2001 through 2005 prior to becoming the North Boys Varsity Track and Field Team coach from 2006 to 2015, helping to lead the team to three track and field state championships and one indoor state championship.

    Mr. Burns earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Boston University in 2000, and his Master of Education in Secondary Education from Rivier University in 2007. In 2013, he earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Principal Leadership from New England College, Henniker, New Hampshire.
