Administration of North / ADMINISTRATION

Mr. Burns began his career with the Nashua School District in 2001, teaching science at the former Elm Street Junior High School, now middle school. In the fall of 2003, Mr. Burns taught science at Nashua High School South and then transferred to teach science at Nashua High School North in 2007. In the fall of 2010, Mr. Burns became the science department head teacher, leading the department in its work in redesigning curriculum and assessment. More recently, Mr. Burns has worked as a co-chair for the High School Competency and Grading Committee.

Mr. Burns served as an assistant track and field coach from 2001 through 2005 prior to becoming the North Boys Varsity Track and Field Team coach from 2006 to 2015, helping to lead the team to three track and field state championships and one indoor state championship.

Mr. Burns earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Boston University in 2000, and his Master of Education in Secondary Education from Rivier University in 2007. In 2013, he earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Principal Leadership from New England College, Henniker, New Hampshire.

Jothan Massey

Mr. Massey began his educational career in 2008 at Nashua South after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from the University of Maine at Farmington. He has spent the last fourteen years at South teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Pre-Calculus, and predominantly AP Stats. He was also the class advisor for the classes of 2015 and 2019 and attended a school-sponsored Habitat for Humanity trip to Mississippi in 2010.

Mr. Massey will be joining Nashua North after recently earning his Masters in Educational Leadership from New England College. He is not completely new to North. Mr. Massey has been the Boy’s Swim and Dive coach for the past eight seasons. Mr. Massey can't wait to get started and is excited to start in his new position as a Nashua North Titan!
Katie Closs

My name is Katie Closs. I started my journey to the field of education in 2011 at Rivier University in their Master of Arts and Teaching Social Studies Program. After graduating in 2013, I worked for a year at Merrimack High School and then moved to Epping High School. For the last 7 years, I taught US History and Psychology at Epping. In the spring of 2020, I completed my CAGS in Educational Leadership through SNHU. I am very excited to be a member of the Nashua North community and to do my part to help support our staff and students in the years to come!
Heidi Paris

I began my teaching career in 2005 at Catherine McAuley High School in Portland, Maine, where I served as a social studies teacher. I moved to New Hampshire in the fall of 2007 and taught social studies at Campbell High School, in Litchfield until coming to Nashua North. I became the Social Studies Curriculum Facilitator in 2009 and served in that role for ten years. While at Campbell, I also served as the Summer School Director and the NEASC Co-Chair.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with minors in secondary education and political science, from Saint Joseph's College of Maine in 2005 and my Masters of Education in School Leadership from Saint Joseph's College of Maine in 2012.
Andrew Conrad

Mr. Conrad started his educational career in 2013 at Alvirne High School after graduating from Keene State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education . He spent the first 8 years of his career as a Physical Education/Wellness Teacher.

Mr. Conrad has also spent many years coaching football, softball as well as strength and conditioning. After receiving his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University, he made the move into an interim assistant principal position at Alvirne High School. Mr. Conrad is excited to be here at Nashua North and looks forward to working with both students and staff. GO TITANS!
