• IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS

    • All students in the Nashua School District are required to have up-to-date immunizations based on the state of NH requirements. Without these immunizations, your child will not be allowed to attend school, or participate in school sports.
    • Students need to have a minimum of one of each required immunization to start school and proper follow up must be done to avoid exclusion from school. We can help you in figuring out what your child needs, and in getting these immunizations scheduled.
    • 7th graders require a Tdap vaccine in order to attend in school classes, or participate in sports. We send out notices through email, and post mail throughout their sixth grade year and over the following summer to let families know if their child requires a Tdap vaccine.  Please submit this paperwork to us as soon as your child has had the vaccine, you do not have to wait until you receive a notice.

If a student has a health issue and is unable to have the required immunizations, there must be a letter from the MD stating the reasons for the exemption. This will be recorded in the computer and a letter from the MD will be placed in the student's file. Medical exemptions will be reviewed annually, and the need for renewal will be determined on an individual basis.

A student may be excused from the immunization for religious reasons. A State of NH Certificate of Religious exemption form must be completed, notarized, and filed in the health office. There is no expiration date.
