Foreign Language Teacher of Year

Congratulations to Claudia Decker, Spanish Teacher at Nashua HS North, for being named NECTFL (Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) 2023 Teacher of the Year!

"Because of the support from my colleagues, my administrators, and our coaches, who are the best, I have the best around me," said Claudia of her commitment to teaching at Nashua HS North and winning Teacher of the Year.

The award was announced last Friday at the annual NECTFL Awards Ceremony in New York City, honoring her career in the field, proficiency in the use of ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language) standards, and elevating her teaching of language and culture as essential for students' understanding of their role as citizens of the world.

Claudia will represent NECTFL at the National Language Teacher of the Year competition at the ACTFL Convention in Chicago in November. Again, congratulations and best of luck!
