Career Pathways

As an Automotive Technology student, you’ll build hands on skills in brake systems, steering and suspension systems, electrical systems, computerized diagnostic testing, and performance engineering. Working in our fully equipped shop with professional grade tools, you’ll learn to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain vehicles while gaining real world experience through an 8 week internship with a local dealership and other work based learning opportunities. Our program follows NATEF standards and prepares you for industry-recognized credentials including; ASE Certification, Ford ACE Technician Certification, and Snap-on Meter and Scanner Certification - fully equipping you with the skills and certifications to succeed in a high-demand industry.

In our Biotechnology & Biomedical Science program, you’ll use advanced research tools from both chemistry and biology to tackle real-world challenges in the medical, agricultural, and pharmaceutical fields. You’ll study microbiology, cellular biology, and molecular biology, while mastering lab techniques like using analytical equipment, culturing and characterizing cells, preparing solutions, and designing experiments to interpret data. You’ll also explore cutting-edge topics such as genomics, proteomics, and stem cell biology. As a second-year student, you can complete an independent research project and even compete in the New Hampshire Science and Engineering Expo. Along the way, you’ll earn up to 8 college credits, gain industry-recognized credentials, and participate in work-based learning to build real-world experience and prepare for a future.

In our Business Pathway program, you’ll explore the many worlds of business—building a foundation in accounting, ethics, entrepreneurship, finance, management, and marketing through hands-on, project-based learning. You’ll work with industry recognized software while mastering the concepts, processes, and skills needed to develop and manage business operations, along with the tools and strategies to plan, monitor, and control financial resources and apply leadership and management principles. Areas of focus include entrepreneurship, small business management, operations, accounting, global business and finance, marketing, and sales. Students can earn dual enrollment college credits, participate in work-based learning opportunities, join DECA, and qualify for the NTC Business Honor Society.

If you’re interested in shaping young minds, our two year Careers in Education program gives you a strong foundation in modern teaching theory and techniques. You’ll learn about child growth and development and its impact on learning, how to create engaging learning experiences, effective behavior management, and ways to support all learners. You’ll apply your skills in real settings—working with professional mentors in the Purple Panther Preschool at Nashua High School South and in K-5 classrooms at local elementary schools. Students can earn up to 9 college credits, complete 200+ hours of field experience, and gain leadership and community service opportunities.

This fast paced, two year program teaches you to design, develop, support, and manage electronic communications and networking systems. You’ll explore the strengths and weaknesses of different network types and the protocols that keep them running, all through a curriculum based on the globally recognized Cisco Academy—preparing you to become a Level 1 Network Engineer. You’ll gain skills in internet technologies, network security and customization, routing and switching programming, computer science theory, and binary and hexadecimal coding. Students can earn up to 11 college credits and work toward Cisco Associate and Professional Certifications

In this hands-on, two-year program, you'll develop the skills needed to plan, construct, and finish residential and commercial building projects. You'll learn industry standards, construction techniques, job site safety, blueprint reading, material selection, and proper tool use while gaining experience through real-world projects. Students build technical skills through authentic projects, work-based learning experiences, and industry partnerships that reflect current construction practices. Opportunities are available to earn industry certifications while applying your knowledge using professional tools and equipment. Graduates leave prepared for careers in the skilled trades with the confidence, professionalism, and hands-on experience needed to succeed in the construction industry.

In this two-year program, you’ll gain hands-on training in hair cutting, styling, coloring, and waving, as well as scalp treatments, manicures, basic skin care, and makeup application. You’ll also study the principles of hair design while building the technical and creative skills needed for a successful career. Through guest speakers, competitions, and field trips, you’ll experience the beauty industry firsthand and build valuable professional connections. Successful completion provides up to 360 training hours toward your New Hampshire Cosmetology license. You'll also have the opportunity to showcase your talent in state skill competitions.

As a Culinary student, you’ll train in a commercial kitchen using restaurant-grade equipment while mastering the processes and safety practices involved in selecting, purchasing, and preparing high-quality food products. This two-year program builds the skills, work habits, and confidence needed to succeed in top culinary schools and the food industry. Accredited by the American Culinary Federation Educational Foundation, you’ll develop expertise in food preparation, safety and sanitation, large-scale meal planning, and professional equipment operation. Earn up to 9 college credits, obtain ServSafe Certification, compete in SkillsUSA, and connect with the Professional Chefs of New Hampshire.

In this program, you’ll engage in simulated worksite scenarios to apply electrical theory and follow electrical codes. Training covers modern electrical devices and equipment used in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Key areas of study include electrical safety, residential and commercial wiring, and electrical theory. Successful completers earn 600 hours of classroom and work credit toward their journeyman’s license, receive their NH Electrical Apprentice card, and obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.

In this dynamic, two-year program, you'll develop the skills needed to respond effectively in emergency and public safety situations. You'll learn patient care, rescue techniques, emergency response procedures, teamwork, leadership, and communication while participating in realistic training scenarios and simulations. Students build experience through work-based learning opportunities and interactions with emergency service professionals. Opportunities are available to earn industry certifications while applying your knowledge in real-world settings. Graduates leave prepared for careers in emergency services with the confidence, professionalism, and skills needed to succeed in the field.

Explore the dynamic world of engineers, architects, manufacturers, and design technicians through this hands-on program. In Introduction to Engineering Design (IED), you’ll learn the engineering design process, applying math, science, and engineering standards to solve real-world problems. In Principles of Engineering (POE), you’ll discover a broad range of engineering fields, while the Engineering Design and Development capstone challenges you to identify a problem, research, design, test, and present a solution to a panel of engineers. Following the Project Lead The Way curriculum, you’ll gain skills in problem solving, product design, robotics, programming, prototyping, and 3D modeling software. Earn up to 6 college credits, and engage in valuable industry networking.

In this creative, two-year program, you'll develop the skills needed to communicate ideas through graphic design, branding, print, and digital media. You'll learn industry-standard design principles, visual communication strategies, typography, layout, color theory, and digital production while creating projects for a variety of audiences and purposes. Students build experience through authentic projects, work-based learning opportunities, and competitions such as SkillsUSA and DECA that reflect real-world design challenges. Opportunities are available to earn industry certifications in Adobe Creative Cloud applications and up to 6 college credits while developing a professional portfolio. Graduates leave with the confidence, professionalism, and creative skills needed to succeed in the design industry.

Our two-year Health Sciences program builds a strong foundation of knowledge and hands-on experience to help you focus your interests and launch a career in healthcare. You’ll participate in work-based learning both on-site in our modern facilities and through internships and job shadows with community partners. Study topics include anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, nursing skills, dental and physical therapy techniques. Second-year students can prepare for Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification. Earn up to 3 college credits (Medical Terminology) and certifications such as American Heart Association CPR/Basic Life Support, LNA, and First Aid.

In this program, you’ll learn the fundamentals of HVACR systems through hands-on activities focused on heating, cooling, refrigeration, pipefitting, ventilation, and ductwork. You’ll gain experience with hand and power tools—including state-of-the-art press technology—while studying piping, plumbing basics, and electrical fundamentals. Key skills include brazing, soldering, pipe fitting, system design and management, preventative maintenance, and basic electricity and wiring. Earn 3 college credits, OSHA 10 Safety Certification, EPA 608 Certification, Swagelok Certification, and Viega Systems Press Fitting Certification.

Our program prepares you for careers in entertainment, news, and corporate media. You’ll master camera work, audio, lighting, editing, and pre-production in our state-of-the-art broadcast facility. Students have the opportunity to earn NOCTI certification, a valuable industry credential. Learn to produce professional-quality video and television projects using industry-standard equipment. Earn 3 college credits, participate in work-based learning and media internships, and build a college- and career-ready portfolio.
