Assistant Superintendent Mr. Anthony Parker
Assistant Superintendent for Secondary
The Nashua Board of Education approved Dr. Mosley's recommendation to hire Anthony Parker as the new Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Schools at the Wednesday, July 15 meeting. Mr. Parker is the former Principal at Weston High School in Weston, Massachusetts. He will replace Donna Fitzpatrick who resigned last month.
Mr. Parker brings a wealth of experience as an educator to the position, particularly supporting faculty and staff to provide excellent academic experiences for students. As the longtime principal at Weston High School, Mr. Parker led the review of the school's core values: engagement, integrity, responsibility, and resilience.
"While our district is justifiably proud of its academic rigor," said Mr. Parker about his tenure in Weston, "my proudest accomplishments involve creating a culture and system of care for all students, particularly those with different learning styles and social-emotional needs, and a nurturing community for faculty and staff."
Mr. Parker is a seasoned educator, initially teaching US History, World History, and Social Studies. He earned a Bachelor of Arts, Sociology-Anthropology from Earlham College, Richmond, Indiana; a Master of Education, Teaching and Curriculum, from Harvard Graduate School of Education; and a Doctorate of Education Administration (ABD) from Boston College Lynch School of Education and Human Development.
