In a 2 11 2021 letter, Mayor Donchess asked all divisions except the school district to adopt a flat, 0% increase, operating budget this year. He is allowing a 1.5% for the schools for two reasons:
- Schools have received significantly lower increases than other City divisions over the last five years
- Schools need added resources to support learning loss during the pandemic
To keep pace with the budget development process, school district data and information will be published in an online notebook for your reference. Documents will be added as they become available; click here to read the notebook.
