Elevation and floor plan: how your castle should look when finished. These two parts are a drawing of your castle as you are approaching it (elevation), and how the layout of the rooms will be (floor plan). Motte-and-bailey: earliest form of castle fortification. Typically, this would be built shortly after you conquered an area, and consisted of a raised mound of earth for a lookout (motte) and a wall to protect your assets (bailey). Project Roles:

Lord: This is your castle, so you are the leader of the entire organization. It is your job to keep everyone on task, make sure your castle is being built to your wishes, and take into consideration the wishes of your family, general, and serfs.

Architect: You are the expert on castle design, and are creating this castle to the specifications of the Lord. You must design something that the Mason can build, and take into consideration the requests of the General. You should be the one creating the elevation and floor plan of the castle.

Mason: You are the expert on stone masonry, and are creating this castle according to the Architect's design. It is your job to orchestrate the building of the castle model, keeping in mind the constraints of Medieval technology. Certainly, if the castle falls, you will be at the mercy of the Lord and General!!

General: You are the expert on Medieval weaponry and defense. It is your job to advise the Lord and the Architect on how to defend your castle against the possible siege from your bloodthirsty neighbors. You should also organize the army and military devices that will be housed in the castle.
