Parents corner is intended to give parents and idea of my teaching philosophy. Please be sure to check out the other areas of this website for information such as curriculum, class and grading policies. Experience has taught me that a student has greater success in school when his/her parents are actively involved in their education. Please take the time to show your child that you do care about their education and that you will always be there to help. Your guidance and wisdom can make the difference between success and failure in your child's High School career. I will work with you to insure that your child gets what he/she needs to succeed. Please feel free to contact me about any of your concerns regarding your child. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a family man with three wonderful children. I truly love my job. I feel teaching is a noble profession and I am fortunate to be part of the Nashua High School Faculty. My approach to teaching is to engage my students in hands-on learning activities that make connections between the Physical Science curriculum and the real world. When students see this connection they feel they are learning something useful, something that will help them better understand the world around them. Student's interest in subject matter is greatly enhanced when they see these connections. It is my hope that you will “do science at home” with you child. During the semester your child will be given ideas to share with you around the dinner table. I hope you find these activities fun and enlightening. I am committed to providing the best learning experience possible for your child. I take my job very seriously while enjoying every minute of it. Let us work together to support, encourage and educate your child. If we do this, High School will be a fun and rewarding experience for your child. We can do it!
