Class Policy
Classroom procedures and expectations

This course will consist of lecture, demonstrations, and laboratory investigations. Students can expect to work individually as well as in pairs and large groups.

1.  Be in class on time.
2.  Sit in assigned seat.
3.  Have materials ready to use when the bell rings - Be Prepared!
4.  Get started on posted assignments - Be Prepared!
5.  Listen to instructions the first time they are given.
6.  Raise your hand - ask to be recognized to speak. Do not interrupt others.
7.  Stay in your seat unless you have permission to do otherwise. Do not leave the classroom without the teacher's permission.
8.  Remain seated until the teacher dismisses the class.  **The teacher dismisses the class, Not the bell!**
9.  If a student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to find out what was missed and make up the work. Work due the day of an absence will be considered due the day you return. If you are out the day of an exam, you can expect to take it in class the day that you return.
10. No food, drinks or gum in class. ( exception: water)
11. Keep your hands, feet and objects to yourself.
12. No profanity, vulgar or offensive language.
13. Be polite.
14. Respect others and their property.
15. Take care of our classroom and school.

*** Cell phones and other electronic devices are to be turned off and put away upon entering. If I see or hear such a device I will take it and hold it until the end of the day or until a parent is notified. ***
