What's New
Late Hours Start the Week
The Media Center is now open until 3:30 on the first two days of the school week. Normally this will be Monday and Tuesday, but in the event of a holiday or school closing on one of those days, the days will be Tuesday and Wednesday. Come get some homework done before leaving school!
New Databases Available
The North Media Center now offers ten databases. Our newest are World Conflicts and Encyclopedia Americana. These join EBSCO, SIRS, CQ Researcher, Biography Resource Center, Granger's World of Poetry, CultureGrams, NetTrekker, and United Streaming. Come in to the library for password, username, and URLs.

Create your own account in NoodleTools and easily prepare a perfect bibliography. You can also make great notecards with this tool.
CultureGrams are Now Online
Many people know how valuable CultureGrams are in print for information on cultural aspects of countries. These are now also available online, and can be accessed from school or home. Stop in the Media Center for information on how to access this great resource.
E-Books are Here!
Nashua North students and staff have access to 24 different e-books that they may use at school or home. They are on a variety of self-help topics of interest to teens. A brochure of titles and access information will be available in the Media Center. Mrs. Poltack was awarded a grant through the supplemental budget which made this purchase possible.
The Flume: New Hampshire's Teen Book Award
The nominee list for 2008 is now available in the Media Center, as are all the new titles. Stop in and check one out! There are 13 nominees. This is a reader's choice award, with books nominated by New Hampshire teens last spring. If you'd like to nominate a book to be considered for next year's award, stop in the Media Center and speak to Mrs. Poltack.
