Usage:
The Nashua North Library Media Center is designed to accommodate up to four classes and up to 60 additional students each period. The environment is a very active one, as there is a lot cooperative and hands-on-learning taking place, particularly where the classes are situated.
All students are free to use the library media center before and after school as well as during their lunch mod. Students sent in from class or who come in during their lunch may use the facility as long as they sign-in at the entrance and follow the same rules of conduct as all other students. During lunches, students may be required to show their school ID.
Students have access to the district’s computer network and the Internet through individual network accounts. All students must sign and abide by the Nashua School District’s Responsible Use Guidelines.
Teachers may sign-up in advance for their classes to use the library media center resources. The media specialists will gladly work with teachers to integrate information skills into the curriculum. Instruction is provided in selecting, using, and evaluating a wide variety of print and electronic resources. The frequent reinforcement of these skills across the curriculum is very much encouraged.
