Assistant Principal's Message Lynne Joseph, Assistant Principal
|
| Welcome Students, Parents, and Friends of Pennichuck Middle School! My name is Lynne Joseph and I am the new assistant principal at PMS. I am very excited to be working here and I am looking forward to a great school year. I have had many years experience in the school system, with the last fourteen being in middle schools. I remember the first day I walked into my classroom and began working with middle school students. It was then that I decided that I could never work at a better grade level. To me, middle school is an exciting time of life. The students are all growing, changing, and learning, and all of us in the school system are helping them along, doing our best to point them in a positive direction. It is our job to teach them, guide them, and empower them to make good choices. My goal for all of our students is that they grow and develop into positive contributing members of our society and that they remain lifelong learners. I would recommend to all students that they get involved…in their classes, in extra-curricular activities, in the community; and strive to be the best student that they can be. My background is quite varied. I have worked as an art teacher, a computer teacher, and an assistant principal. I have spent many summers working at summer camps – as a counselor, art director, special events coordinator, and finally as a camp director. All of these jobs have helped me strive to be organized, fair, and creative. I value a great sense of humor and I enjoy laughing, but I also expect adherence to our rules. As the disciplinarian, I will be strict, consistent, and fair. I will work with the students to enable them to understand the issue’s at hand. Helping a student change inappropriate behaviors is one of the best parts of being an administrator. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, attending sporting events, creating artwork (drawing, painting, or woodworking), and baking. I also take pleasure in shopping, listening to music, and reading. Open communication is important to me and I welcome the chance to get to know this outstanding Nashua community. We can each do our part to help keep our students involved and interested in school to ensure a successful year. To the PMS students: I look forward to working with all of you. Here’s to a safe and exciting year where we all learn, grow and have some fun!
