Explore a career in Video production and broadcasting by experiencing, hands-on, the roles of producer, writer, camera operator, host, editor and technician in Nashua High School South's state-of-the-art Video broadcast facility. Learn about the art and technology of modern communication while producing useful and attractive programs for your class, the high schools, and the school district at large. Increase your confidence and organizational abilities by planning, writing, and completing your own projects. In the first half of the year, you will complete a series of exercises designed to introduce you to the concepts and practice of multimedia project management. Then, in the second semester, you will propose programs and produce those approved by your instructor.

Prerequisite: NTC Director’s office approval of your application

Full Year Course

Build on the knowledge you have gained in the previous year by writing, producing and creating multimedia programs for your class, the high schools, and the school district. Learn more about cable, satellite and web-based distribution channels. Act as an advisor, tutor and technical resource to first year students. Build a reel and resume to help you qualify for further education and employment. Prerequisite: successful completion of CT5601N and approval of NTC Director’s office.
