Have you ever bought something and a few days later wondered why you spent all your money on it? In this course you will obtain the skills you need to understand the marketing world. Learn purchasing, financing, distribution, pricing, risk management, promotion, selling, and marketing information. Study target marketing, marketing mix, market research, and designed marketing plans. You will be encouraged to join DECA, a student organization, whose goal is for students to develop a "career success kit" to carry into their business and personal lives Note : Students enrolled in Project Running Start Program can earn four college credits for this course.

Full Year Course  Continue learning marketing through practicalexperiences gained in the school store, market research for local employers, and as Nashua High School DECA leaders. You will be exposed to marketing experiences that will reinforce the skills you have and add skills of operations administration, leadership, and business management. Prerequisite: Enrollment requires approval of NTC Director's office and Successful completion of Marketing 1.

Learn about doing business in the global marketplace Whether you start your own business or work for a company, going global is an essential skill. You will learn about the economies, cultures, consumer behavior, and marketing techniques of many countries, including China, Japan, Mexico, England, Russia, and Germany. Learn how a company takes a product global. Learn how Domino's  Pizza tailored their product offering for the Japanese market. Learn how foreign products are changed to meet American tastes. You will research both companies and countries. Prerequisite: One or more of the following courses: Marketing 1, Business Management, Accounting 1, and AP Economics.

Sports & Entertainment Marketing     1 Credit

Explore a career in the sports or entertainment
fields. Starting with a marketing overview, you will gain competencies in sponsorship, promotion, advertising, sales, event marketing, and communication. You will beexposed to a variety of sports and entertainment activities through organizations such as NASCAR, the Nashua Pride, local and regional radio shows, and city officials. Learn about the many career options available in this field. Prerequisite: Successful completion of one of the following: Marketing 1, Accounting 1 or Business Management.
