WELCOME to Year Five of the Virtual Fieldtrip.  Each year, many students from the Title One Schools have got to 'travel' with me around the globe.  This year is NO exception.  In the past, I have limited participation BUT this year I am not.
What is the Virtual Fieldtrip?  The basic principle is that all participating classes will suggest 'stops' on the Virtual Fieldtrip that might be of interest to their class and that of the Novaks.  To do this, classes should::
Read the biographies (see Biographies) of Mrs. Novak, Mrs. Barry, Dr. Leslie Novak and Gretchen Novak noting their special interests.
Be aware of the daily itinerary of the Virtual Fieldtrip.
Do research using the provided to determine what 'stops' could be made on the Virtual Fieldtrip or use any of the Virtual Fieldtrip activities.  Teachers will then send email to Mrs. Novak using the email address in the navigation bar at the bottom of ALL pages.  Each class will receive emails about the Virtual Fieldtrip hopefully including pictures of the places they have suggested.
The activities have learning logs with lesson plans complete with State standards.  My personal goal is to make things easier for YOU to participate and have some cross curriculum projects that you can do that may help you.  Numerous of these lessons can be done at ANY time during the year and worthwhile to use even after (or before) the Virtual Fieldtrip.
Hope you enjoy.  Yours, Claudia Novak, Title One teacher/trainer

HUGE CREDITS TO:
This project could NOT have been completed without the GREAT assistance and support of a couple of teachers by allowing me to use their students as web designers and researchers.  It is/was a great experience working with these talented students and utilizing THEIR knowledge about what would be interesting to them and their peers.
I wish to give a VERY SPECIAL thanks to Mrs. Yanco (5th grade Dr. Crisp) and her outstanding team of Eric and Kaitlyn. This team has spent hours and hours including many recess times to work with me.  They have become GREAT peer editors and research editors along with the web designers for me. All of these web pages have been aided by their insight.
I have used the great page from last year's Mrs. Gaylord (4th grade Mt. Pleasant)  done by Elizabeth and Jonathan on  Castles.
