| On
a clear day, you can see Ireland from Rachel Parkins's house. The
wind is ALWAYS blowing near Rachel's house near the top of a
mountain. Can you tell what those little white dots are in the
picture to the right??? IF you guessed sheep, you were right.
Gretchen, Mrs. Barry and I helped Rachel feed her horses. After
that, we went into the house for dinner. I got to met Flopi the
Rabbit. I am allergic to rabbit so Flopi and I weren't best
buddies. Flopi made me rather ill but in the morning when I went
outside in the fresh air, I felt much better. After leaving Rachel's, we drove up to Beaumaris to visit another famous castle. Upon leaving Beaumaris, I was not feeling that well. We drove down to Portmeirion and spent the night. You can read more about Portmeirion by clicking here. |

| This
is the view out of my sister room. It was a beautiful view.
You could watch the tide come in and out IF you had the time. That
evening they had a fireworks display that lit up the whole area. A
couple had got married at Portmeirion and the fireworks were part of their
celebration. When we got in the morning, we rushed down to eat breakfast and then out to walk around the incredible little houses in the village. It was such a lovely place to visit and we wished that we had more time. The picture to the left: the Hotel and the picture to the below right is buildings in the village. |

It was hard to leave the beauty of Portmeirion but off to the Cob sales we went. To the right is the top priced Welsh Cob in ALL history (at the Cob Sales). He went for 14,500 pounds. By the time all the fees were paid, this one expensive little animal costing about $26,000! |
