be able to read a map is one of the most important things I have learned
in my life. Getting lost in a foreign country is NO fun.
Getting lost ANY place is not fun. Driving in the United Kingdoms is always a challenge for Mrs. Novak. It takes a great deal of concentration to make sure that I stay on the proper side of the road. Roundabouts are a real problem and sometimes Mrs. Novak goes around at least once just to see all her options! Gretchen and I have learned the hard way that it is also VERY important to have the maps in the same language as the country you are visiting. The first time that Gretchen and I went to Wales, our maps were in English. The signs for the towns were in WELSH! It was very frustrating and we had to go and buy a new atlas.
