What is a blog and blogging?  The word 'blog' stands for a web log.  A web log can be many things including a personal diary published on the web that people can comment on.  Web logs can also include pictures.  My blog is going to be a travel diary of my trip to Italy.  I am sure you will love to read my travel diary and see all my pictures.  It is going to be like you were with me!  I think the BEST part of my blog is that you can ask me questions and give me suggestions on places to visit and things to do while I am in Italy.  When you write to my blog (called posting), I will get a message telling me I have a new post.  If I am online with my laptop, I can see your message and answer you immediately.
       DON'T forget that Mrs. Novak is very concerned with your safety on the Internet.  You CAN NOT use your real name when you post me.  You must use your Italian name that you find on one of the two websites listed below. Just so you know, for the sake of Internet safety all posts need to be approved by me.  I don't want any bad things on this blog.  Please be careful of your spelling and grammar.  Please do not just press the 'submit' button before going through your postings. I would hate to have to delete your posting because it is poorly written or has glaring spelling mistakes.
