Virtual FieldTrip 2004-2005
How does the Virtual Fieldtrip work?

What is the Virtual Fieldtrip?
Every year Dr. Novak and I travel to a special place around the globe.  Each year various classes from the five Title One school follow our travels by receiving daily emails and pictures.  We want you to get involved in places that we visit.  YOU can suggest 'stops' on the Virtual Fieldtrip that might be of interest to your class and us.

To do this, classes should::
Read the Biographies of Dr. Novak and I noting our special interests. Please try to suggest places you think we would be interested in.  I don't know about you but I hate going to boring places that I am NOT interested in.

Be aware of the daily itinerary of the Virtual Fieldtrip.  You can't ask us to visit a place in Jerez de la Frontera IF we are in Granada.  It might be a good thing to print out Map of Spain  to keep track of where we are going.  You also will need find out WHAT time zone Spain is in.  Are we going to be ahead or behind the time in Nashua, NH?  Take a look at Time Zones around the Globe to get some help.

Do research using the provided Links to determine what 'stops' could be made on the Virtual Fieldtrip or use some of  Suggested Activities.  After coming up with a special place for us to visit, your teacher will email it to Mrs. Novak.  Hopefully, your suggestion will get to me in time to actually visit it for you.

Last year while in Hungary, Germany and Holland, I had GREAT Internet connections at all my hotels.  It made doing the Virtual Fieldtrip very easy.  I am NOT sure if this will happen again this year.  IF you don't hear from us for a day or two, don't worry.  As soon as I find an Internet connection, I will get email to you.

Yours, Mrs. Novak
