Virtual Fieldtrip 2003 - 2004
Fabulous Food
The food we eat is tightly linked with history and culture.  Take a look at The Food Timeline  and you will get an idea when some foods appeared in various countries and cuisines.
Today things are changing rapidly with even more 'globalization'.  You can eat  pizza (from Italy originally) in every country around the globe.  American fast food chains such as McDonalds can be found around the world.  Paris is famous for fine food but a McDonalds restaurant was next to our hotel!
The links below will give you some ideas on the traditional foods that people eat in the three countries that I am visiting.
Hungarian cuisine shows you a few pictures and some recipes.

Bread is very important to many cultures.  While in Ulm, I am planning to go to the Museum of Bread Culture
