2001: Dr. Novak receives an
invitation to chair a session at EUSAR 2002 in Cologne, Germany from June
4th to 6th, 2002.
January
2002: Dr. Novak gets
approval to be able to attend conference.
Dr. Novak accepts invitation to chair a session at EUSAR 2002.
January
21, 2002: I order the
frequent flyer tickets for Dr. Novak, Gretchen and I.
Dr. Novak will be flying roundtrip on United from Boston to
Frankfurt. Gretchen and I
will be flying to Zurich on Swiss Air and then returning from Frankfurt
on Swiss Air.
January
22, 2002: Make reservations
via the Internet for hotel in Cologne during the conference.
January
28, 2002: I request price
quote from car rental company for picking up the car in Zurich and
leaving it off in Frankfurt.
January
29, 2002: I request another
price quote from car rental company picking up and leaving off the car
in Zurich.
January
30, 2002: Second price
quote MUCH cheaper SO we are changing our plans.
February
2, 2002: Call Swiss Air and
change reservations for Gretchen and I to leave from Zurich NOT
Frankfurt.
February
3, 2002: Look on the
Internet and see where we should go.
February
6th and 7th:
Start working on web page for Virtual Fieldtrip 2002.
Three students from Mrs. Yanco’s class will be helping me.
February
11, 2002: Dr. Novak’s tickets from United arrive.
February
12, 2002: Dr. Novak and I
got our passports in 1992. I
just checked our passports last night.
Dr. Novak’s will expire in March and mine will expire in June!
Gretchen’s passport expired when she turned 18 in high school.
All three of us need to go and have pictures taken for our NEW
passports.
February 14, 2002: Dr. Novak gets his picture taken at work.
February 18, 2002: Gretchen and I get our pictures taken for our new
passports.
February 25, 2002: Dr. Novak sends in his old passport to get a new
one.
March 1, 2002: Gretchen takes passport form and pictures to the
Dunstable Town Hall. Her passport is in the 'works'.
March 15, 2002: Gretchen receives her passport.
April 2nd, 2002: Mrs. Novak sends her passport out EVEN though it
was good for the trip.
April 19, 2002: Mrs. Novak receives her new passport.
May 9th, 2002: Dr. Novak finds out that he has an important
meeting in Washington, DC and can't go to Europe.
May 14th, 2002: Mrs. Novak changes reservations. Hope we are
set.

Get
some European money.
Purchase
some new travel books on this area.
