Castles

Mrs. Novak has always loved castles.  Castles come in many sizes and shapes.  Most 'true' castles were built in Europe during the Medieval Ages.  The Medieval Ages were a difficult time in Europe.  There were many wars and much fighting.  Castles were used as a 'safe' place to go when other people tried to attack you.  They had big strong walls that could keep attacking people out.  Mrs. Novak is very lucky because she has been able to visit castles in England, Wales, Scotland, France, Austria and Germany,
All of these castles looked slight different but ALL had very similar parts. To better understand castles, you need to understand all their parts.  To help you learn more about Castles, Mrs. Novak has created a Learning Log about Castles .  After completing the Learning Log, have fun with the word search Activity #1.
