A States Project

     Welcome to the States PowerPoint Project.  YOU have been the job of collecting the following information:
      Motto of your states.
      Map of your states.
       License plate from your states.

You will be putting this information in a PowerPoint presentation. 
      After opening PowerPoint, go to a blank part of the slide (NO text boxes), right mouse click and choose 'Layout'.  Select either a slide with two contents or a slide with clip art on the left or right.  Type the name of your states in the title box.  Minimize PowerPoint. 

     Go to Mrs. Novak's website and click on this States Project webpage.  Go to 50states link below, click on the name of your state.  Scroll down until you find the motto.  Highlight the motto and copy it (using the right mouse button).  Minimize the Internet.  Open PowerPoint and paste (using the right mouse button) the motto in the text box.  Minimize PowerPoint.

      Maximize Internet Explorer.  Go back to this webpage.  Click on the link below for R.T.'s Blank Plates.  Click on the hyperlink that says US & Canada.  Select your state.  Click on the license plate that you want.  Right click and copy the license plate.  Return to PowerPoint.  Right click and paste the license plate. YOU must be on a blank part of slide for the paste to work! 

     Your final step is to double click on the icon for clip art.  Type in the name of your state in the .  Find a map of your state.  Copy it and paste it into the box for clip art.  Please save your work in your folder in Grades.

     Congratulations!!!  You have completed your first state.  Insert another slide and follow the above procedure to complete your next state.  Take a moment and make sure to look at the Rubric below.  Do you have everything you need????
