pantaloons Men's wide loose-fitting pants that are gathered at the ankles.

parson A parish minister.  A member of the clergy, especially of the Protestant Church.
parsonage The house, usually provided by the parish, where a parson lives.
perry A drink made from fermented pear juice, similar to cider.
pestle Object for crushing or grinding.  Usually rod shaped with a rounded end that fits in a mortar.

pillage Stealing of somebody's possession by force especially during a war.
pillion Behind the rider of a horse.  
pruning To cut branches from a plant to encourage growth.

pulpit A raised platform or stand in church that is used by a parson.

sawmill A place where trees (wood) is sawed into planks or boards.

scythe Tool used to cut grass or crops.  Used by swing the blade close to the ground.

spyglass A telescope that is small enough to be held in the hand. 

statesman A leading politician who plays an important role in the government.

sweetmeats A type of candy served at the end of the meal or with tea.
switchel A drink made out of  sugar, molasses, vinegar, and a touch of ginger.  
tankard A large mug with a handle and sometimes hinged lid made of glass, pewter or silver plate.

trencher A wooden rectangle with the centered hollowed out.  Used to serve, cut food on or as a simple dinner plate.
vittles Food

whey The watery liquid that separates from the solid part of milk when making cheese.

woodsman A person accustomed to life in the woods and skilled in the arts of the woods as hunting and trapping.
yoke A wooden frame for harnessing two draft animals.
