Materials:  Computers, books on Native Americans, video on Native Americans from United Streaming, SmartBoard, pencils, and paper.

  Procedure:.

1.) On Day one, explain the whole project and start research using books. Continue research in books on the following week.
2.) Day Three, using a downloaded United Streaming video on Native American, explain that taking notes from a video is slightly different than taking notes from books.  You need to write down keywords or thoughts that you can write more about later.  Show video twice.
3.) Using the SmartBoard or large screen monitor, introduce the Native American website and how the four websites on the first page work.  Show that there is another page with more in depth articles on different subject matters (extra credit).  Students should be assigned a specific topic to start writing their three sentences on (such as food, clothing, habitat, housing etc.).
4.)
Have students write their three sentences.  Typing them into Word or using PC6's would be very useful.

5.) Introduce PowerPoint including how to insert clip art.  Have students go to PowerPoint and start their slide (s) including at least one clip art.

6.) Work with each group and combine all slides into one presentation.  Add slide background and slide transitions.
7.) Have students show their presentations using the SmartBoard.
