Covered Bridges

Jackson Honeymoon
This covered bridge was rebuilt in 1965 to improve visibility and provide parking. The bridge has a 121 foot 11 inch span. Directions: The Bridge is West of Rt. 135, 5 miles west of Lancaster Village.

 Stark-Stark
This bridge is a two span, 134 foot 1 inch paddle for truss. The bridge was rebuilt in 1949 and 1954 as a 2 span with steel stringers. Directions: The Bridge is north, west of Rt. 110 at Stark village.

 Lincoln Fume
Built around 1886 this 50 foot truss spans the Pemingwasset River in the Flume Reservation part of Franconia Notch State Park off Rt. 3 in Lincoln.

 Pittsburg River Road
This 50 foot 6 inch queen post truss also spans the Perry stream. Directions: The bridge is South of Rt. 3, 5 and a half miles north, west of  Pittsburg village.

 North wood stocks Clarks trading Post
This bridge was originally built in Barre VT. Directions: Clarks trading post is on Rt. 3 in Lincoln.

 Campton Turkey Jims
The original bridge on this site was built in 1883. The present bridge, 60 foot, 6 inch queenpost truss over the West Branch Brook, was built in 1958 by Milton Graton. Directions: The bridge is a half a mile east of Rt. three at Campton.

The Cog Railway
The Cog Railway was built in 1858.It was built up Mt. Washington. People thought it was impossible to do this, but Sylvester March thought it was possible. Other people laughed and thought he was a fool. He wasn’t because he did it!
