The capital of New Hampshire is Concord.  The largest city is Manchester. The latest population for the state is 1,185,048. A pretty kind of flower is the state flower, purple lilac.  Our state animal is a white tailed deer.  Our state insect is a ladybug! Amphibians are important too so the state amphibian is a red spotted NEWT! Our state rock is granite.  Our state gem is a smoky quartz.  Last but not least the highest temperature is 106 degrees. The lowest is – 46 degrees .

New Flash!!!!  On May 6th, 2006 Governor John Lynch signed the Pumpkin Bill into law.  Third and Fourth graders from the Wells Memorial School in Harrisville lobbied the House and Senate to have the pumpkin recognized.  The pumpkin is now the official state fruit.
