Eleazer Wheelock

Eleazer Wheelock was educated on the grounds of Yale University College, in 1733. Soon after that, he became a teacher. He was really enjoyed studying theology. For extra money, Eleazer made a school in his own household, and that school was to get children ready for college. He tried to let Indians in school with white people. He was also an emotional preacher and a religious leader. He was ordained and became a missionary. Eleazer Wheelock was famous for owning the land where Dartmouth College is now located. He had a son, named John Wheelock (1754-1817). His son died in Hanover, NH, just like his dad.
