China -A Virtual Tour of Shanghai |
|
After a very long plane ride, I am sure that Dr.
Novak and I will be very tired. I know how tired we both have
been after our trips to Australia. You get off the airplane
with sleepy eyes, a cramped body and legs that do not want to walk.
You rush down to passport check point to stand in a long line if
other international planes have just arrived. You follow
others like a zombie to the luggage go round for your flight and
wait for your luggage. Dragging your heavy luggage, you walk
out into the arrival hall to search for your transportation.
Usually I am heading to a car rental office and another line before
the crazy and bewildering drive out of a strange airport to my
hotel. Please don't tell anyone but I have always dreamed of having one of those uniformed chauffeurs with a sign with my name on it waiting for me at the arrival hall. No more stress of rushing around in a strange place or hauling my luggage all over. I could relax and enjoy arriving in a new country. This whole trip is one I have dreamed of for a long, long time. SO I decided to 'splurge' and have the hotel chauffer pick us up at the airport. Yes, a very nice man will be waiting for Dr. Novak and I with a sign saying NOVAK. He will take our luggage, escort us the limousine and drive us to the hotel. This sound like heaven and a memorable way to start our GREAT adventure in China. Now that I have told you a little bit about how my trip is going to start, you have to begin your work. Remember your job is to suggest some exciting places for Dr. Novak and I to visit. Our stay in Shanghai is the longest of our journey. Please complete the learning log below which will help you complete your task. |
