| The Novak's Trip Preparation Journal
In 1992, Dr. Novak and I (Mrs. Novak) got our passports. Passports are needed to travel to most countries outside of the United States. Passports are documents that include a picture of the person, pages that visas can be attached, and room for immigration officers to stamp. Visas are needed to enter certain countries. Visas are documents that tell certain countries that you are going to visit them. Australia is the only country that we have visited that required a visa. All passports are stamped by immigration officers when you enter and leave a country. You must have a passport to travel to Australia. My passport has stamps from all the countries that I have visited. Ask me and I will show you my passport. May 20, 2000 Dr. Novak receives an invitation to teach in Australia. September 20, 2000 Final details of teaching assignment in Adelaide, Australia are made. Dr. Novak will be teaching February 20th and 21st, 2001. November 8, 2000 Dr. Novak orders his tickets through his office. Dr. Novak submits an outline of the course that he will be teaching. December 20, 2000 On the Internet, I find a special price for tickets to travel to Australia and I order them. I will be leaving from Manchester, NH and flying to Los Angeles, CA on February 14th and then leaving on February 15th for Australia. They approve my Visa electronically when I ordered my tickets. |
