As Nashua has grown so too has Nashua High School. This growth has resulted in Nashua High school moving to new locations around the city

Nashua High School South was formerly known as Nashua Senior High School. The building, located at 36 Riverside Drive, opened in September of 1976 and is being totally renovated over the 2002-2004 school years in preparation for reopening in September of 2004 as one of TWO Nashua High schools Housing grades 9-12. 2004 will mark the first time in Nashua's history that the city has had two high schools.

Prior to 1976 Nashua Senior High was located at 111 Elm Street, at the corner of Lake and Elm Street. The building was erected in 1936-37 and underwent extensive renovation and expansion in the early 60's. In 1976 that building became Elm Street Junior High School.

Prior to that, Nashua Senior High School was located on Spring Street across from Saint Patrick's Church. That site is now the location of the Hillsborough County Court house.
