Mr. Courounis is currently the Director of Bands at Nashua High School South. Before accepting the position at Nashua High School, Mr. Courounis was the Director of Bands and Music Teacher at Elm Street Junior High School for the past 8-½ years. He is a graduate of the NHS Class of 1982. Mr. Courounis received his Bachelor of Science in Music Education Degree from Plymouth State College in 1987. He has been a staff member of the NHS music department as Assistant Director since 1994. Mr. Courounis also teaches private lessons on clarinet and saxophone and freelances as a playing professional in various groups in the New England area.
