About Nashua High School North

Opened in September 2002 as the north campus of Nashua High School and meeting the educational needs of members of the junior and senior classes, Nashua High School North (NSHN) became an independent high school in September 2004.  NHS North includes grades 9-12 and our campus serves approximately 2100 students.

The creation of a second high school in the City of Nashua was part of a $143M building project which fully renovated Nashua High School South (formerly Nashua High School) located on Riverside Drive.  Coupled with the building of Stellos Stadium and Conway Ice Rink, the City has created a series of facilities that are second to none on the east coast in their abilities to meet the educational and recreational needs of the citizenry.

Nashua High School North offers students a broad, comprehensive education.  Our school is part of the Advanced Placement program which enables academically talented students to earn college credit for courses they take in high school if they score well on a national exam. Students can also earn college credit through dual enrollment opportunities and as part of Project Running Start which is affiliated with the New Hampshire Community Technical College system.

The Nashua Technology Center enables students at both Nashua High School North and Nashua High School South to take a wide array of technical courses.  Guidance services help students select courses which challenge them and prepare them to move forward with their studies at the collegiate level or to move directly to the world of work.  Music (instrumental and choral), drama and the visual arts all have wonderful facilities which support dynamic instruction.  Our school's athletic facilities are also outstanding and a full range of interscholastic sports are available to members of our student body.

Students with all types of abilities are served well at NHS North.  The Nashua School District has an inclusion model for students with special needs and for whom English is a second language.  For information about these programs, please return to our home page and "contact us."
