Services Provided

- Individual
instruction and academic support from a Teacher of the Deaf in the
mainstream setting.
- Self-contained
Deaf and Hard of Hearing classroom instructed by a Teacher of the Deaf.
- Individual
and/or group therapy provided by a Speech Language Pathologist trained in
working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, to develop speech, language
and auditory skills.
- Educational
Sign Language Interpreters are available in the mainstream setting that will
foster academic and social support outside of the self-contained classroom.
- American
Sign Language classes for all families, community, and school members that
wish to be involved.
- Family
group meetings to bring our Nashua community together for the children and
caregivers to make connections and find support within their home community.
- Deaf
role models that will provide positive mentoring and academic support to all
Deaf and Hard of Hearing students (Future Goal).
- Deaf
Culture awareness activities that
will develop collaboration between Deaf and Hearing students and staff
within the school community provided by a the
Signs of
Learning Staff.
