Services Provided

 

  1. Individual instruction and academic support from a Teacher of the Deaf in the mainstream setting.
  2. Self-contained Deaf and Hard of Hearing classroom instructed by a Teacher of the Deaf.
  3. Individual and/or group therapy provided by a Speech Language Pathologist trained in working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, to develop speech, language and auditory skills.
  4. Educational Sign Language Interpreters are available in the mainstream setting that will foster academic and social support outside of the self-contained classroom.
  5. American Sign Language classes for all families, community, and school members that wish to be involved.
  6. Family group meetings to bring our Nashua community together for the children and caregivers to make connections and find support within their home community.
  7. Deaf role models that will provide positive mentoring and academic support to all Deaf and Hard of Hearing students (Future Goal).
  8. Deaf Culture awareness activities that will develop collaboration between Deaf and Hearing students and staff within the school community provided by a the Signs of Learning Staff.
