The rules at recess are: No
swearing
No physical contact
No play fighting
No bumping/banging
No ganging up on others
(verbally or otherwise)
No leaving the
designated area (NO WOODS)
No spitting
No exclusions of others
during game play
No food or drink at
recess
At the end of recess: AT FIRST WHISTLE BLOW-
Stop playing
immediately (no last play or shot)
Line up
AT SECOND WHISTLE BLOW-
SILENCE!!!!
No ball
bouncing, face forward, hands to yourself

Consequences for breaking rules/contract:
1. Verbal warning (adult reminds you of the rules or tells you
to stop)
2. On the wall (you will be sent to stand still and silently on
the wall until an adult tells you to leave)
3. Written warning (adult will write your name down and report
it to your teacher – weekly list will be seen by the principal and
vice-principal)
4. After school detention ( an infraction sheet will be sent
home to your parents and a time will be arranged for you to spend 30
minutes after school)
5. Office (You will be sent to Mrs. Rott)
The adults reserve the right to skip steps depending on the severity of
the infraction (certain behaviors such as fighting, punching, and
hurting others will result in an immediate trip to the office)
