Download a copy of Turbo JBuilder 2007 from the CodeGear Borland website or here. There are Windows, Mac and Linux versions available.

Install it on the computer that you will be using at home to complete your assignments.

If you need them, you can download jdk1.4 (If JBuilder will not work then try downloading the jdk's). Store the jdks in the Borland/JBuilder2007 Folder. You can also download the lastest jdk directly from Sun

Create a folder on your hard drive for your Java work.

Your Java folder at home should be the same as your Java folder at school so that all your links and connections are the same. For each chapter there will be a folder in your Java folder. These folders will be created when you create Projects so do not create the folders now!

Go through the first assignment at home. You will create your first project and familiarize youself with Turbo JBuilder 2007.

Buy a flash drive (if you do not  already have one) and use it to transfer your work from school to home and back again.
