  1. Materials needed EACH day – 3 ring binder with paper, pen or pencil

 ( your own ). Keep a small calculator in your backpack and colored pencils

 

  1. Attendance -  Be here so you can do your best!  You must have an admit card from your house office after an absence.  All missed work must be made up.  Be on time.

 

  1. Make up work – After an absence see me before class starts to get what you missed ASAP!  All labs, videos and worksheets must be made up.  Make up work can only be done for “excused” absences.   Science make up day is ________ No late work accepted after 2 weeks or after the test on the material.

           

  1. 3 ring binder – take down all notes from the board or overhead.  Keep all handouts , notes and returned graded papers in the rings of the binder in chronological order.  A binder grade is 100 pts and binders are graded 1x a marking period. Your binder equals 15% of your marking period grade.
  2. GRADES

a)     Review sheets – 15-20 pts each

b)    Labs – 50 pts each

c)     Tests – 100 pts each – All tests and quizzes are CLOSED notes/ books

d)     Quizzes 25-50 pts

e)     Attendance/participation – 15% of your grade; you must watch each video

 

             Approximate point distribution  Binders 15%  Test/Quizzes 35%

                                Classwork and Homework  50%

6. Tardiness – Hustle to class and be in your seat when the bell rings.  Three tardies / quarter is one after school detention in B-2022.    Visit the restroom before class.

ROOM  MANAGEMENT  POLICY

 

1.       The teacher respects the students and expects that the students will respect the teacher and each other.

 

  1. The teacher trusts each student until he/she gives reason not to be trusted.

 

  1. You need EFFORT to learn and do well. We all need RESPECT for each other, ourselves and

items that belong to others.  It is important to be HONEST and to always do your own work and to tell the truth. No one has the right to prevent other students from learning in our classroom.

 

  1. Be ready to learn as soon as you come into the room. Binders and texts can be neatly stored in the room .

 

    5.  No CD players, head sets,cell phones or pagers in class. No canned or bottled

       drinks except water, no swearing or dissing. No hats, headgear

    6.  Bathroom passes -  Go to the bathroom before you come to class.  “No” passes 

 during class.

     

  1. Raise your hand if you want to speak.  Be a great participant!

 

  1. Please help take care of the room by putting all of your trash in the trash barrels and keeping your lab area clean.  Return supplies to designated areas. Help us have an awesome class.
