


Mrs. Gillespie has a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, PA and a Master's Degree in Zoology from University of Vermont. She first started teaching high school biology in Essex Junction, Vermont and then moved to Nashua and taught at Chelmsford High School in Masschussetts until 1988. Since then she’s been teaching at Nashua High School . Believe it or not, Mrs G. is 97 years old and has taught for 70 years! The secret behind her staying “young” is that she works with kids everyday, does kickboxing, biking, gardening, walking and loves to cook. Her most treasured recipe is for Earthworm Cookies. Mrs. G is the National Honor Society Advisor and mentors new teachers. During the school year she attends monthly seminars at MIT Whitehead Institute for science teachers. Mrs. G will be 98 September 30th!
Mrs. G's husband is a geologist and together they have two grown sons and a black and white cat named Domino.
