Greetings from the Superintendent of Schools

Welcome!  We invite you to peruse our website to learn about our outstanding school system.

Many positive changes have occurred in the Nashua School District over the last several years.   We recently completed a $143 million high school building/renovation project that spanned five years and involved the building of a second high school and renovation and expansion of the existing high school.  With the completion of this project in September 2004, our grade levels were transformed to K-5 elementary schools, 6-8 middle schools, and 9-12 high schools.

Our educational programs and the delivery of educational services at the secondary level have been completely redefined.  Our high school students now work in learning academies of approximately 500 students each based on areas of interest and in a block scheduling format.  And, at the middle school level, students are assigned to a team of teachers for core academic areas.

The Nashua School District has an outstanding staff and offers high quality curriculum based on local, State, and national standards.  Our teachers deliver education through exemplary teaching practices that are supported by a process of continuous improvement.

In the 2003-2004 school year, an independent audit of the Nashua School District was sponsored by the local newspaper, The Telegraph, and several local businesses and was conducted by SchoolMatch, an Ohio-based firm.  The SchoolMatch audit report issued on May 18, 2004, overall was very favorable toward the School District and commended the changes taking place.

Thank you for visiting our website.  I hope you find it interesting and informative.
