POSITION: Administrative Coordinator (Food Services)
STARTING: On or
about November 1, 2007
SALARY: $26,489
WORK YEAR: 202 Work

REPORTS TO: Director
of Food Services
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency in
word processing, data entry and spreadsheets required; one-year
administrative/supervisory responsibility desirable. Knowledge of local, state
and federal statutes pertaining to school lunch/breakfast requirements;
operation and care of computer equipment; keyboard skills and computer literacy
required. Must be physically
capable of performing duties, which include the ability to walk, bend, and
stand for long periods of time. Lift and
carry objects weighing a minimum of fifty (50) pounds, and the ability to work
with a variety of food service and cleaning related products. Must have personal
automobile or truck available during workday.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1.
Manages
central computer system processing student enrollment and free/reduced
application data.
2.
Enters
free and reduced application for all schools.
3.
Prepares
and sends all required free and reduced correspondence.
4.
Verifies
free and reduced lunch applications using USDA guidelines. Follows through with all required
documentation.
5.
Follows
up on past due accounts weekly and sends bills.
6.
Investigates
delinquent accounts, contacts food service director and school principal when
necessary to arrange payment plan or change status.
7.
Updates
pricing in all point-of-sale computers as needed.
8.
Debits
accounts for bounced check fees. Communicate with schools to block check
cashing privileges.
9.
Processes
small claims court proceedings.
10.
Checks
weekly participation records and resolves discrepancies.
11.
Compiles
financial and participation information for monthly reports.
12.
Processes
billing for Clearway Alternative School participation, Kindergarten milk sales,
and the Alternative Suspension Center lunches.
13.
Maintains
point-of-sale computers and equipment at each school and recommends upgrades.
14.
Performs
start-up and year-end procedures for POS.
15.
Assembles
necessary data for auditors.
16.
Researches
free and reduced information for district programs and State forms.
17.
Confidentially
distributes necessary free/reduced data information required for district’s
testing.
18.
Maintains
small wares equipment inventories.
19.
Prepares
monthly school USDA compliance reports.
20.
Works
on special projects as needed.
21.
Performs
such other duties pertaining to food services, as necessary.
This
