CTE (Career & Technical Education)

Nashua High Schools North and South serve as centers for Career & Technical Programs for not only Nashua students but also students from six local high schools:  Alvirne, Campbell, Hollis-Brookline, Merrimack, Milford, and Souhegan High Schools.

CTE courses are designed to provide skills in the following 20 disciplines:  automotive technology, business, accounting, finance, marketing, early childhood education, culinary arts, construction trades, computer-assisted drafting and design, HVAC, hospitality and tourism, computer networking, pre-engineering, electrical trades, graphic communications and printing, video production & broadcasting, health occupations, machine technology, cosmetology, and biotechnology.

Because of further anticipated reductions to the proposed to FY 2007 Nashua School District budget, Nashua School District and CTE administrators recently reviewed all programs and personnel.  To accommodate proposed budget cuts, CTE will eliminate three and a half staff members, including one currently vacant position. CTE administrators do not anticipate changes in current course offerings.
