For the second year in a row
Timberland has outfitted
our students with top of the line outdoor
performance gear. Timberland also has donated large assortments
of high quality clothing to our ALT students. This donation
included boots, sweatshirts, winter coats, socks, scarves,
jeans, sweatpants, and many more items too numerous to
mention. Our students will be well prepared for this
winter.

On
September 21st, 2007, Timberland invited our
students to a day of adventure and activities at the YMCA’s
Camp Lincoln. Twenty nine
of our students spent part of their day on a low ropes
course and part of their day canoeing while having the best
times of their lives.

Students participated in group challenges,
formed positive relationships with the mentors and guides,
as well as spent the whole day outdoors. For these
students this day was a change from their ordinary typical
day and was a chance to experience new and exciting things.

It
is difficult to put into words the gratitude we at the ALT
have for the opportunities and generosity given to our
students by Timberland. The significance
of these actions as well as the relationships formed between
our students and their mentors is meaningful. “Make it Better”, is
absolutely fitting
slogan when it come to Timberland’s commitment to the
community.
