Providing the everyday support to the teachers are the paraprofessionals of the ALT. These qualified individuals work hard to make sure that the students' academic needs are being met.   Paraprofessionals are without a doubt the backbone of any school program and the ALT is no exception.

One paraprofessional that merits our recognition is Vera Rasmussen.  She works extremely hard in the background to make sure everything is running smoothly.  Vera assists with classroom instructions, administers tests, provides behavioral support for students in crisis, and assists with clerical duties.  These are only a few of the many jobs and responsibilities Vera has.

Vera is a warm and wonderful person.  She is the first person to help you when you need a hand.  However, don't mistake her kindness and generosity with weakness, Vera is strong, determined, and is obsessively hard working.  Vera does not beat around the bush, but tells it the way it is.  We affectionately referrers to Vera as, “the Little General”.

Without Vera, we could not do what we do, as well as we do. We are very proud that Vera is on our team and our students are lucky to have such caring and devoted individual involved with their educational experience.
