The Phoenix Program
Formally  known as, The Academy of Learning and Technology

Mission of the Phoenix Program

The Phoenix Program strives to provide an alternative path toward academic success for Nashua’s middle level, 6th to 10th grade “at-risk” students.  The Program strives to create a challenging curriculum and supportive community that motivates students with meaningful opportunities for achievement.  Through a safe, supportive and nurturing environment, students are able to meet individual needs and are guided towards developing and pursuing personal goals, assuming more responsibility for their own learning and behavior and developing transition plans for obtaining a high school diploma.

Respect and Responsibility = Success

We are excited to be incorporating Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to our program.   PBIS is a systems approach to preventing and responding to classroom and school discipline problems.  PBIS develops school-wide systems that support staff to teach and promote positive, appropriate behavior in all students.  By reducing behavioral problems, PBIS creates and maintains safe learning environments where teachers can teach and students can learn.
