Nashua's Police Department (NPD) works cooperatively with the Nashua schools to assure that students and school personnel are safe, making it possible for education to occur at the highest possible level. The officers have dual responsibilities of making the school a safe and secure environment, and working with students and school personnel on preventative programs.

Police officers work with both large groups and individual students on issues, giving them the encouragement and direction  they need to make positive choices. They also connect these students with community resources like the Nashua Police Athletic League (PAL), which includes a variety of programs for the youth of Nashua.

His mission is the same one we have, keeping our students safe and promoting an environment that  is conducive to learning.

The officers are always a positive force, but they are also a quiet deterrent when safety and the educational process are threatened.
